The classic First person shooter arrives on Android. We all gamers have grown up playing this game on LAN in our college days and nothing is more exciting than taking a headshot.

A fully playable version of Counter Strike is available on Android. Unfortunately, its not on Androidmarket, and its not even a port. ITs built from scratch using the Unity3d engine.

The game developer has released various versions of the app in order to make it work almost all android phones with different hardware. It is compatible with android 2.0+ devices, which is like 95% of the android world.

For users with android 2.0+, use 5o version and if you have 2.3+ then the 6p version will work well.

Checkout Gameplay of CounterStrike on Android:

Its snappy, and elegant even on single core 1Ghz devices like Galaxy S. The online play is smooth and brilliant. Works across PC -Android online plays. The game looks a replica of the original and all the popular maps have been retained for the mobile version. There are minor bells and whistles but it should get better over time. Developer is providing full support for the app, so in case you’ve troubles you can follow the link at the bottom of the post.

Controls are nice but they  take some time to get used to, just like GTA 3, and Modern combat 3. You can host Online games, challenge friends. It works well with Xperia Play as well.

Among the other devices we tested: Galaxy SII, Galaxy Note, performance was superb.

Get it from XDA page.
